Change Notification Format in MOM 2005 I found a discussion thread on
www.momcommunity.com and thought that
a summary would be helpfull in the future. To make this change do the following: 1. Log into the database server and open SQL Server “Enterprise Manager”. 2. Expand the databases until you see “OnePoint”. 3. Expand the OnePoint database and select ‘Tables’ 4. Right click the ‘Configuration’ table, select Open Table | Return All Rows. 5. Looking under the ‘DataName’ column and find the entry ‘EmailSubject’. 6. Staying in the same row, go to the column to the right of ‘DataName’ called ‘DataValue’ and change the entry. 7. Close the table and exit “Enterprise Manager”. Variable List 63 Alert Description 62 Alert Name 50 Alert Source 10 Category 55 Computer 56 Domain 07 Description 01 Event Number 03 Event Type 14 Logging Domain 04 Message DLL 08 Message DLL File Version 06 Provider Name 52 Severity 05 Source Name 13 User Name Possible Problems You change the format and the Notification shows exact what you changed. Reason There is a space between the Variable Number and the last $. Operations Manager $%AlertLevel%52 $ Alert on $56 $\$55 $ Thanks to all contributors of this very usefull thread ! |
